  • Zeiss CMM(Contura G2) for dimension inspection

Based on 10+ years crankshaft manufacture experience, BW introduced the EPR-DESIGN Forged crankshaft in 2013. It carries all the benefits that billet has, but with lighter weight and stronger structure.

  • 100% 4-axis CNC profiling 
  • Special Knife-edge counter weight for reducing resistance at high RPM
  • V-style lightening holes machined by 5-axis CNC

Forged crankshaft is common manufacturing method for many crankshaft, however we put many important element into this traditional method to meet high performance applications, such as:

  • Crack detect on forging and finished components
  • Multi-step in house heat treatment process, including core harden, stress relief and nitriding
  • Precision machining process by advanced technologies, from 2-Axis to 5-Aaxis CNC machines
  • Accurate grinding process
  • 3M advanced technology abrasive for micro-polishing journals

– Standard in premium AISI4340
